What to verify for a certified option
GRS-certified options available. Certification availability depends on the product, order and transaction scope. Request current documents for the relevant legal entity and material before approval.
Request current scope evidence and applicable order documentation. Check the legal entity, certified activities, material category and sites against the supply arrangement. Do not assume the parent company’s involvement makes every product or shipment certified.
Before making a product claim
- Confirm the requested recovered-input category.
- Verify the relevant entity and scope with current documents.
- Agree the transaction documentation needed for the order.
- Review product claim and labeling eligibility under the applicable rules.
Keep performance in a separate specification
Composition, fill power, cleanliness and other material requirements still need to be agreed and tested. GRS coverage does not establish a universal quality level or quantify a carbon reduction.
